newbie help

Hi there, just got my first pop up camper. It is a 95 Dutchman Duck, needs a little work but think it be good camper for us. The questions is about our refridge, past owner told me it ran on propane, but they never used it, looking at the access panel it looks like it has a switch, mostly likey, for electric switch, my question is there are 2 control knobs for temp, how do I know which is which?

this probably a silly question to someone experienced.
Thanks
  • most popups have 3-way fridges.
    12vDC, 110vAC and propane.

12vDC is generally used while in transit.
110vAC is used when you have electric hookups.
propane is used when you don't have electric hookups.

pics of your switches would help, especially with an 20 year-old popup.
  • I will have to get that info, but it does have a on/off switch with 2 different temp knobs.
  • It is more likely that one knob is for when it is powered by electricity and the other is when it is on propane.
But as others have mentioned, knowing the make and model would be of great help.

How about a brand name and model number?

    X2

With Brand/Model more info can be provided.

Lots of info available......just need to know what it is :B
  • More than likely in a PU you won't have a thermostat control. The buttons you refer to are probably 1. Gas/electric switch and 2. Automatic switch(The unit will switch to shore power automatically when it senses it)
