Pilot / Flying J gas application

Dont know if you guys are already aware of this, but i was just wondering around the Android marketplace on my phone, and i came across an app from Flying J that will show you the nearest station near your location, and it also has a trip planner that will show you the stations on the route from where you are to where you are going. I just thought it was a pretty cool app
  • I also have the Pilot/Flyingj app on my phone. It did not cost me anything to download. I also use the RVPLUS card where they take the payment out automatically. I have never had any problems with them taking it directly out of my checking account. I get the notice showing all my charges about 5 to 10 days before they take it out. I use them exclusively. I always fuel at the truck lanes. I have never been rushed. Many times the truckers will come and talk to me when I am fueling up. I get done fueling, get my receipt and am on my way. My billing has always matched my receipts.

I find it interesting that Flying J wants you to buy their app when there are free ones that give lots more options.

BUY, I did not buy it, I have only bought one app and that was not it (Well 2 if you count one on this windows 8.1 box that app fixes what microsoft broke in 8.1).

Oh, Moose finder, that's the one I bought.

My Pilot (the flying J app) was free.
  • I've used the free mypilot app for years.
Pilot / Flying J is my preferred choice for fueling.
I go thru the truck lanes, always easy to get in, easy to get out. I use my RV frequent fueler card to start the pump, pump into both sides of my monaco, 80 gallons in just a couple minutes. Pull up, go inside and pay, then on our way. Nothing's easier.

Amazing how there could be so many different opinions of the same thing!
  • FJ issued me a loyalty RV card. Then put a $1000 credit limit on it.

Anybody out there know how long it takes to use up a thousand dollars worth of credit at $4.00/gallon and 10mpg???

I can always do better finding the cheapest station and using my Bank of America card.

Oh yeah! They would give me more credit if I gave them direct access to my checking account! No way in HE**!
  • Don't go where the 18 wheelers go. Most Flying Js I have used have a separate RV lane with both gas and diesel available (most also have propane available). The pricing is competitive on most Flying Js I have used.
  • What is it about Flying J that I don't get. First of all they are packed with trucks and it takes forever to get to a pump. When you do get to a pump you feel rushed as there are a number of 18 wheelers waiting to get behind you. On top of that the diesel prices are out of sight. The independent truck stops next door are typically 30 cents or more less per gallon and there are no lines to wait in. What am I missing here?
