Question about winterizing

I wouldn't trust that it's OK. Can't even be sure what was meant by "winterizing". At least with my Class C all it takes is checking the manual to see which valves need to be turned and where they are located. Mine only has 2, a water heater bypass and 1 to allow antifreeze to be pumped out of the container and through the system until it runs out of all faucets, toilet, etc. Takes about $10 worth of RV anti-freeze. I would drain the system first. Only 1 spring have I had a ruined faucet and that's when a professional winterized it.

I would flush out thoroughly, sanitize with hydrogen peroxide or bleach, blow it out, and re-winterize. The reason RV water system antifreeze isn’t the cheaper auto antifreeze is that it’s non-toxic. It is also biodegradable, which also means that it will go bad over time.

Have you used the plumbing system recently? Do you have plans to use the RV?
If its just been stored and you are continuing to just store it than just leave it alone.
If you desire to have it checked out and ready to go for next season than I would take it on a shake down trip now and winterize it when you are done. THat assume you have the time to take on a project.

I do pre-purchase inspections and if a seller doesn't put water in the rig, I make a don't-buy recommendation or tell the buyers to hold back $5000.

Put water in the rig, pressurized the system and see what you're dealing with. If there are no leaks, blow out the water system and re-winterize with fresh pink stuff.

Need to be more specific, as your question doesn't make sense.
Is it currently winterized? Meaning you bought it without running water through it?
You "tested" it out but haven't camped and water is in it?
It was previously stored somewhere above freezing but conditions will change this winter and you're not sure it was winterized properly? (But you bought it without testing the water system)

I agree that you should flush/dump/re-winterize. It's a good thing to learn to do; and between condensation and possibly rain entering via the vent stack, there *could* be water in the tanks that could freeze and do damage?

I agree with the de-winterize, add water and pressure test then winterize again. You will know if there are any leaks to be dealt with, before you take it camping. But this can depend on where it will be stored. Is it in a place where the temperature ever drops below freezing?
