TT Cover and Padding

Hi, I'm an experienced PUP trailer camper and just bought my first TT. I would like to get a custom RV Cover as I live at altitude in Colorado and am concerned about the winters and UV damage to the roof. I have read lots of posts on the subject but I still have a question about padding so the cover won't tear in our high winds. When it comes to corners on the trailer and bumper I read it is advised to pad anything that conceivably might cause a cover to rip in the wind. So how can I add padding to these spots without using duct tape or something similar. I don't want to pull off the tape come camping season and have to deal with hard to remove tape adhesive residue. I have a special UV protectant for the siding and I don't want to damage or remove the coating trying to remove the residue.
  • I use pool noodles for the down spouts and door stop. I use foam and bubble wrap where necessary. I don't need to use tape, but if I did, I would try the blue painters tape.
  • I use foam pipe insulation, fold and tapi it to itself. Since it's molded in a circle it clings to what you're covering. 3 years and no problems at all.
