Turning on the furance also turned on the roof AC

Question

When I turned on the furnace in the camper for the first time last week, it also turned on the roof AC. The roof AC was not blowing cold air, it was more like circulating the air. Is this normal? I turned off the furnace and used electric heater as I was not sure if the system is working right.

This is some brilliant engineer that never saw a RV idea.  Read the instructions for the thermostat.  The brilliant idea is to turn on the fan to better circulate warm air from the furnace.  There is an option to disable it.

Same thing happened to me this year.  Make sure the fan is set to off.  Worked for me.

Make sure the fan setting on the thermostat is set on Auto. You will find it on low or high if it is coming on with the furnace.

FAN setting to AUTO..then it works with the A/C Compressor--On/Off as A/C cycles

FAN setting in HI or LO it will continuously run when A/C compressor shuts off (when COOL is selected)

Fan setting in Hi or LO it will come in when furnace runs (When HEAT is selected)

Same thing for me ! I went back to C.W. , madder then a wet hen . Tech came out pushed a button , all worked fine . It is it some setting in thermostat , driver error .
