us 60 to us380 from flafstaff to roswell

i am going to be traveling from flagstaff az to odessa tx and looking at going on us 60 to us 380 into roswell then on to odessa. my question is how is the road if i am pulling a 32ft fifth wheel and im looking to stay overnite somewhere closer to roswell any suggestions??
  • White Sands Missile Range periodically has missile firings over US 70 and/or US 380. During the firings the road or roads will be temporarily closed. Please call 575-678-1178 for daily information on possible closure dates and times for firings.
  • I love that road. I want to get back to that area!

Stop in Lincoln and see where Billy the Kid was locked up. The original jail is still there. And so is the bullet hole where he shot the deputy.

A town right down the road is where Smokey Bear is buried.

Just SOOOOOO much history in that area! Good luck and be safe!

I have traveled those routes several times in my 35 ft MH with a toad. The roads are good and is a really nice route. If you are looking for a really nice RV park try Bottomless Lake State Park, it is about 12 miles East of Roswell on Hwy 380.

    OH YEAH Great place.

Stop at Pie Town as well

  • We've had no issues using either of those roads towing our 33' TT, although you do go through some forest and mountainous areas we didn't run into anything to severe. Don't have any suggestions for overnighting near Roswell but we use RvParky app/website that shows every option for RV parking (paid or free) in the region you are traveling.
