Winterizing - Didn't use tailer this year

I wintererized my travel trailer in the fall of 2012. Unfortunately, we didn't get to use it this year - :( Do I need to winterize again? I know the point of winterizing is to make sure water doesn't freeze in the lines and surely with the Kansas heat there isn't any water left! I can easily pour antifreeze through the drains, but would like to avoid pumping through the lines if possible.

Thanks!
  • If you previously winterized with antifreeze and have not used or tapped the water system you should be all set there. I would however recommend pouring about 8 oz antifreeze into each drain trap again as a safe measure. Also good to pull holding tank valves and make sure water hasn't somehow accumulated in the tanks via vent, condensation, etc.
  • ^^ That is the correct answer. I assume that you have properly stored your battery. If you have not used that battery in a year since you are thinking about it, this may be a good time to throw a trickle charger on it to freshen it up if you don't have a battery tender. Just for good measure.
  • It is impossible to winterize an RV that is already winterized. :B You may want to splash a little antifreeze in the toilet bowl to protect the seal from drying out.
  • The only thing I would probably add to what others said is give all of your buttons, valves, handles, etc... a poke or twist back and forth since they haven't moved in a year. Keeps them free.
