2014 Southwind 34 HideABed won't lay flat

My wife and I bought the Southwind new. The Flexsteel UltraLeather L-shaped sofa converts to a hideabed. The problem is that when laid down, the moveable part of the bed is about 5 degrees out of level and does not line up with the L-part that doesn't move. Nothing appears bent and there does not seem to be any other way that the frame can be bolted together. I looked at another one on my dealer's lot and it's exactly the same. Fleetwood says they don't know it to be a problem.

Anyone else have the same situation?

Is Fleetwood going to do anything about it? Just because they don't know it to be a problem, doesn't mean that it's not a problem that should be addressed in your RV.
Is it possible that this is an "operator error" on your part? Might be best to bring it to the Dealer, and see if they can get it to work correctly, and if not, maybe they can get it take care of with Fleetwood.

    Good luck.

Instead of hauling your rig to the dealer, just have the dealer look at the one you checked out on their lot.

  • Definitely follow up on this. The new Fleetwood company is really trying to create a new image. If it is a manf problem they probably want to fix it.
