$900.00 is a lot. $1400 is even more. Shop for a new unit online and you can probably find one in the $600.00 range. Very easy to install if you are replacing a unit. Hardest part will be getting them on and off the roof. I don't think it will make a very big difference. I would try it the way it is, you might be surprised. If you really want to do this look for another dealer with more reasonable prices.
