I still travel a good deal on business and I can say without question that air travel today is something to be endured. It's rare that a flight is not 100% full. Gone are the days of being able to grab an empty seat to carve out more elbow room for yourself. And those seats you sit in are tight, even on a guy that barely tips the scales at 200 lbs.
Having said that, I envy your trip to Hawaii. I lived there once upon a time. It's a special, magical place.
