Annual "wet leaves" (and pine needles) warning

I usually post this earlier in the fall, but just a friendly reminder that wet leaves can be as slippery as ice, as can wet pine needles. Many of you will be traveling through foliage areas this time of year, so please remember to use caution when traveling on leaf-covered roads. Also remember that nights can be cold and ice can be lurking under leaves unseen early in the morning or later at night.
  • Thanks for the post. This is our first fall in an area with fallen leaves.

Would have never thought of that. (until I fell down! LOL)
  • you think leaves are slick in a car/truck... try a motorcycle... in a curve...
44 years of riding.. and 355,000 miles on bikes...

but Fall.. makes the country side very nice to look at. just remember what follows "Fall" and it starts with "S"...

    but thanks for the reminder.
  • Great advice, not only while driving. I just slipped a so wet leaves in the RV park while taking down the garbage today.
  • You just described our "bun-busting" front yard. Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes even a trip to the mailbox is dangerous.
