Another Mattress Thread

So, after searching and sifting through the results, I'm no further ahead in my quest for a replacement mattress for my camper.

My wife has been having trouble with the 7" thick mattress that I can only assume came new in our 2009 Keystone Sprinter. We sleep on a relatively expensive Sealy (or at least I thought it was pricey). I'm not afraid to spend a few bucks on something decent, But I don't want to cough up several hundred to 1000 dollars for a mistake either.

Does anyone have any experience with the Denver Mattress/Lippert stuff? I need a short queen, so hitting a mattress store probably isn't gonna work, and with my law out we are 110% stuck with a short queen.

Reporting back, thus far Sealy 9” foam queen medium firm is doing us well . No tossing and turning . Was concerned it may be too soft , I think it’s just right $349 on sale menards

We bought the king size one 1.5 year ago and we have no complaint. Cost half of other big brand like Sealy etc...

Bed Frame is really depending your preference, we checked out Brick, Leon, etc....but doesn't like them.
We bought ours at Ashley with the full 7 pieces bedroom set. Way better quality than Bricks or Leon or Ikea. There is a big difference in price due to the way better quality of solid wood, but we figure we will be sleeping on the same frame for the next 20 + years, worth the investment.
The mattress can be replaced every few years.

I now have 5 nights on my new $300.00 Narrow King made by Williamsburg RV Furniture... It is an Inner spring with a 2” foam topper... What a great sleep for only $300.00..

We have a memory foam mattress in the TT and in the house. Never really felt it was any hotter than any of the inner spring mattress' I slept on most of my life.
The wife likes them also and so does my daughter.

If you are in an area that is hot and are concerned, they offer ventilated memory foam, and also memory foam that is gel infused and supposed to be cool to sleep on.

Ask, we did. Had a store brand made in a short queen and at a thickness of our spec(shelf).

Two of the best mattresses I ever had were the two inner spring rv queens I had built by small shops and both were $200. I need another rv queen and I've seen those foam ones but I'm Leary of them being too hot. How do they compare to an inner spring. Craig

Any upholstery shop can cut and fit a new foam mattress to your specifications. Most shops also sell memory foam, now, also. IMO, a good dense foam pad is superior to memory foam but that's just me. In my trailer, I replaced all of the old foam. I bought medium-firm density foam at an upholstery shop and my BIL, the upholsterer, made new covers for everything. This was one of the better upgrades I have done.

Also check www.foambymail.com - I've created custom mattresses for present and previous rigs from foam I bought from them, then (easily) cut to fit. This from a cheap Scottish Yankee!
