- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerHaven't heard of any in GA, but there is a beautiful one in Crossville TN. It's called The Gardens RV Village. We love Crossville TN! Lots of RVers there. http://www.gardensrvvillage.com/
There are lots of them in Florida also. Lake Ashton in Lake Wales Florida. http://www.lakeashton.com/ Florida has no state tax. - hotbyteExplorerI used to a have web bookmark for a place in north GA mountains that had RV garages where you also used RV for living space. Sadly, bookmark has long been lost/deleted. If I get chance to do some searches and run across web site again I'll post it here. There are lot of homes with detached RV garages/barns/sheds...some are shared with tractors though :)
- bodyshop_bobExplorerLived here for over 30 years and never once saw or heard of a "RV-friendly" subdivision. However, lots of unincorporated areas with very little zoning to worry about. Buy a nice house with a little bit of property and put your own RV garage up. We would be delighted to have all you over-taxed and under-appreciated Marylanders down here. Please make sure you leave all your "back home we did it this way" at the state line. As the late, great Godfather of Georgia, Lewis Grizzard, once said, "Delta is ready when you are" if you keep telling how you did it back in Maryland. :)
- hotbyteExplorerLewis Grizzard...there's a great. Even as a Ga Tech fan I thought he was great.
- HorsedocExplorer IILewis was a great fan of Georgia football. *rumor* has it that one night the gate to Sanford Stadium was left and open and his ashes were spread on the playing fields where his hero's played on Saturdays. He was a darn good Dog. Rest in Peace brother Dog.
- RandACampinExplorer II??? Why not just move wherever you want, then build a Rv garage onto your house??? :h
- coolbreeze01ExplorerIs Georgia really cheap, or just less expensive than somewhere else?
- wannavolunteerFExplorerHave to agree with bodyshop bob, welcome to GA, just remember we are GA and not somewhere else. Also all of GA isn't the same. Although Atlanta is the capital, it isn't the only place in the state. Atlanta is no longer true GA, it is an international city with many many non-natives. South GA or North GA mountains (either and both) have true GA atmosphere.
As to cost of living, it varies from state to state. Even when I go fulltime, I plan to keep GA as my domicile state. Over 62, you get to exclude some retirement income, and then the exclusion increases at 65. GA has just changed to a new method of charging ad velorum taxes on vehicles that you pay when you purchase/register for the first time. Property taxes vary from county to county and even adjoining counties can have very different tax rates for the same valued property.
I forgot to add that my county does not prohibit RV's from being parked in the yard or having a garage that is suitable for RV. There are some subdivisions that their HOA prohibits parking in front, but I don't think any will prohibit in a closed garage. - wbwoodExplorer

Compared to you in California , you would consider it cheap. - wbwoodExplorerGeorgia gets those from maryland. North Carolina gets those from New York. Lol
