Thank you for the pics. VERY classy looking, much better than the Smart Tiles (in my opinion). Were these individual tiles and were they difficult to cut?
What does "Long Grain" mean?
Thanks, wish the pics were better but so much reflection off the granite countertop. We're pleased with the way it turned out. We went for a long time without a backsplash after installing new cabinets and countertop. Just couldn't find the right thing until I found these. I bought several packs of tiles champagne and stainless and played with them until I found the pattern I liked.
Yes they're individual tiles. Long grain means the brushed stainless is brushed across the length of the tile. They have short grain where the brush marks run the short way. Gives more options for creating patterns. They also have a copper finish tile, too dark for my taste.
Check the Aspect website for installation tips. To cut a tile I first marked the cut. Then used a brickset chisel to dent the tile in where cut would be. This bevels the edge slightly like the rest of the edges. Next I clamped the tile down to a work table and used my Rotozip tool with a thin metal cutting blade.
A little time consuming but not difficult. I did 3 walls, had to go around a window, 2 corners, 5 switches/outlets. An RV kitchen should be a piece of cake.
Thanks for the pics! I've been considering these for my home. My countertops & cabinets are light so I may go with the bronze color. - jcpainterExplorerThanks for the explanation, again . . . they look very tasteful!

What does "Long Grain" mean? - Hank_MIExplorerHer are some pics, I hope, of the Aspect tiles. Stainless and champagne, both long grain.
Well that didn't work, let me try again.
Okay, one row of champagne tiles laid horizontal along the countertop. Then alternating 2 vertical, 2 horizontal stainless tiles and repeat. Lighting makes some of the stainless tiles look champagne.
The unfinished edge of the tiles looks, well unfinished. I placed a thin bead of GE Silicone II along the edges and at the bottom along the countertop. Looks much better and keeps any water from getting behind at the countertop. Shown in last pic, - Hank_MIExplorer

I can say PL Premium, is an excellent adhesive
Which may be one of the 2 adhesives they recommend on their website. The tiles are well made, have durable finish that easily wipes clean. The self stick part, not so great even on a smooth surface. - Houston_RemodelExplorerI can say PL Premium, is an excellent adhesive
- jcpainterExplorerAs the OP, I'm looking specifically for experiences with the Aspect brand metal tiles, not Smart Tiles or similar products.
Does anyone have photos of projects that used the Aspect brand tiles?
Thank you kindly - Hank_MIExplorerI installed the Aspect stainless tiles in our house. I used the brushed stainless and champagne colored tiles to create a pattern. They come brushed the long way, side to side or up and down so you can create all kinds of patterns. I used the glue they recommended to stick them on. Our walls are sheet rock with a skim coat of wet plaster so not as flat as drywall would be. I would suggest gluing them in the motorhome too, don't want them pooping off while bouncing down the road.
I'll try to get some pics later and post them here if I can figure out how.
BTW: I think they look great and wasn't hard to put up.
