At the CG do you mainly use the CG showers or your RV's?

Last time we were at a CG I noticed quite a few CG showers, you had to introduce quarters to take a shower.
How many of Y'all use the CG showers? Do some of you Exclusively use your RV's shower?

Part of the RV model selection was stepping into the shower to make sure it was roomy enough. 10 years & never used a CG shower. Don't use CG restrooms either.

We'll only use our RV shower when we have to. And it's so small that we practically have to grease the walls to use. Glad I'm not a germaphobe or have a problem with needing 100% privacy, because we look forward to hot showers with a little elbow room in the CG showers.

There is a reason I bought a TT with a shower and it was not so I could use the CG shower.

Most camgrounds in the West do not have showers. I use the RV shower once in awhile, but usually plan to spend a night in an RV park for showers and laundry, recharge the batteries and service the tanks.

90% of the time I use my own shower. When I have gorgeous shower rooms like the ones at Furnace Creek with limitless hot water (and a great pool to hop into), I'll use that.

Well, we use the campground shower unless it is not well kept. We just like the roominess of most of them.

I bought a shower and a toilet and the dealer threw an RV in with the deal.

Our family of five always uses the TT shower. I always have full hook ups so dumping is not an issue. I added an on demand water heater so we never run out of hot water, I would much rather walk across the TT to the bedroom then walk from a CG facility ... especially near a Holiday when they can get really nasty.

We haven't used the shower in our rig yet, i.e., over 5 years. The stuff we store there will get wet! Always use the CG showers, except if they are nasty. No shower that day. If I want, I will sponge bath quickly in the BR, shave and the rest. To each their own way of doing things.

used our shower once, that aside we always use the CG showers. We use our shower for storage, just not enough room in our TT.

I do try to research campgrounds that do a better job keeping their showers clean and for the most part it has worked out okay. For us now at this point in our lives camping/rving is more about the experience and not about material.

Always use camper shower. I'm mostly bald and find it quite acceptable. Some times the wife will use CG because of hair, but mostly use the camper also. Something about using your "own" shower, at least the germs are our germs. lol

We're not campers we're fulltime RVers and this is our home. Why would I go down the street to shower?

:)That pretty well sums it up for us now too. We have changed how we do things over time from 20 years tent camping with our family out of the trunk of our car to years of pop-up campers, Class Cs and now where we are at. Each step of the way was fun but, having a residential shower is a luxury compared to our early days and we use it.

Thanks for the more "civilized" reply.

When we got our first TT we were still using the campground showers. Then came the day my wife came fuming back from the campground shower house and said she was NEVER going to use a campground shower again. We had a shower in the camper and she was using it. And we've been using it ever since. If we do not have full hook-up, I use my blue tote to haul the black and grey water to the dump station. But we've never used the campground facilities again!

What happened with my wife? I've shared this before.

She was in the ladies shower. Only privacy was a curtain. In came a mother with her son (probably somewhere around 7ish, but way to old to be in the woman's shower room.)

So do All CG showers have Curtains only?

Well, that wasn't so bad, after all, there were shower curtains ... Until the boy started flinging back the shower curtains while the ladies were taking showers and then stood there just laughing at them, while the women tried to turn and hide themselves.

My wife yelled at the mother some choice words, got dress and stormed out! That was THE last time we both, ever used the campground facilities for anything!

Have toilet and shower in camper... we use it! That's what it's there for. It's now been more than 15 years ago, and she hasn't changed her mind yet. Yes ... I make a lot of trips to the dump station with the blue tote!
