Awning supports?

I am here in the RGV,(southern TX). Wind is somewhat of a problem.
Visiting with a fellow camper and he was using five of, what he called, Awning Support Bows. Went from the side of the trailer under the awning, when out, to the outstretched awning, bowing it out in the middle. Where can I get some of these and at what cost.
He purchased his from a private party some years ago.
