Big gust of wind pushes TT and Truck

Just got back from a 4000 mile trip towing our 35 foot travel trailer with a 2500 HD truck. Driving down a desolate road outside Limon CO going abut 55 MPH through a wind farm(posted speed limit 65 and was a bit windy) and I see all this dirt and weeds blow by in front of me and a 1/2 second later the truck and trailer get hit with a huge gust of wind that instantly shove the truck and trailer about 3 feet over. I could feel the trailer drag the truck over and tell the were no longer tracking together but by the time I slowed down it was all back inline. Everyone in the truck new something was not normal. We tow with a Propride hitch so i'm thinking that helped with the situation but after that it was white knuckle for a few days and when ever I would see wind farms. Just curious if any of you have ever experienced anything like this. It happened once before in SD to me but was not nearly as bad.

Probably a dust devil. One hit us once and moved the motor home from one lane to the other. They are like mini tornados. I doubt the wind farm had anything to do with it. Lots of them in the southwest. If I see a dust devil forming or approaching I slow down and grip the wheel

Had that happen to me. I did see the dust and stuff blowing across the freeway ahead. I slowed way down to 35-40 to help. Also with full tanks that helped a lot.
