Broken window

The window in the door to our 318 sab cougar is broken. Are these easy to fix by oneself or is that something to bring into the dealer with.
  • Go to a large glass service center. They will have tempered glass made to fit exactly. You can select the frosted, tinted, etc. Usually about 1 week to make the glass. They can install in a few minutes. This is not worth the Do it Yourself savings. Cost installed will be about $50.
  • I also went with plexiglass as it was easy to shape to the proper size
  • Thank You for the replies, I will call local RV dealer tomorrow to see if they have glass. Ours was shattered so we were not able to measure the glass.

Easy to fix but takes more time than I thought it would.

(If time is not a problem....answer back and I'll continue. And if you have another door with window, same size)
  • I broke mine changing the pastic part that holds the glass. It was not temper glass but it was frosted. Went to hobby lobby and had them cut me a peace of reg glass to put back.
