So I estimate 7500 pounds loaded for a long weekend, more if you have full fresh water tank. That is 900-1000 pounds of TW. That's really pushing the limits of the more capable half tons. You can confirm your receiver rating and payload on the tire and loading sticker. Since you are looking at a RLS, I'll assume it is just you and a spouse, not a large family. Take the payload available, subtract off weight of you and spouse, another 200 for a bed full of stuff. It's probably tight. You should confirm it has the HD towing package, 4.10 axle for 2WD or 4.30 for 4WD. Should you do it, get a WDH with integrated sway control and proportional brake controller. It's 9 years old, so flush all the fluids too.
