- christopherglenExplorerA short motorhome, a short car, and a short boat (on trailer) you may get away under the fed 65' limit. The gotcha is all trailers must have brakes (in some states). There are states with longer then 65', but exceeding it limits where you can tow. You are lucky to a point, you can unhook the car and drive the rv and car separately when needed. Someone driving a truck and rv trailer with a boat behind doesn't have that option.

A trailer behind a motor home is NOT doubles towing. You will have to be concerned with the total length
Doubles towing is towing something behind what your already towing

He was asking about towing a car AND a boat behind his motorhome. That, at least in my mind, would be double towing.

Might require brakes or breakaway ? Probably a deal killer !
that would be interesting, two braking systems and two break away systems. :)

- mowermechExplorerIt is legal in Montana. Maximum length 75 feet. To get started on the research, see MCA 61-9-312; 61-10-104; and 61-9-304.
- BumpyroadExplorerthe question is not if you did it. the question is, was it legal to do so?
bumpy - DesertHawkExplorerWe used to do this with a C-Class MH here in New Mexico. I believe Texas is OK as well.
Also depends on the total length of the rig. Front of MH to rear of boat. 60' comes to mind. - crabbin_cabinExplorer IIMost states/provinces limit 'double' towing ( which is what you are proposing) to fifth wheels only.
- BumpyroadExplorerI sort of doubt that that combination would be legal in a whole lot of states. not in MN or most of the East coast states.
