It's getting close to renewal time for my Coach-net policy and I'm wondering if I should switch to Good Sam.
How much junk mail do you get from Coach-net?
Do they send you fake renewal notices to get you to pay twice for renewal?
Do they make you join their club and pay yearly subscription for it just to access their website?
Because that is what Good Sam will do if you switch.
If you switch to Good Sam......expect your mail box to overflow with junk mail and fraudulent fake renewal notices and every other low life tactic via the mail. And sell your info which increases the junk mail you will get from others.AND you will not be able to stop any of it.
They also will not let you see the contract until AFTER you pay for it. Some one still needs to take THAT practice up with the BBB.
I've adjusted my mail preferences with GS and now only get the occasional mailing. if you've done the same and are still getting tons of mail then a phone call to GS is in order. but I don't understand what a fake renewal notice is...is that coming from someplace other than GS?? or are you referring to an early renewal notice?
They send a renewal notice marked 'urgent your membership is expiring'! And show a date within receipt of notice. When in reality sometimes the member's membership doesn't expire for months or even another year.
I was full-timing and went back up north to pick up my mail. Saw the notice and thought oh shoot I need to get this renewed asap before I hit the road again. Got back to the MH and pulled out my card only to find out it was NOT even close to expiring.
It is NOT a reminder notice. It is a notice saying your membership is "expiring" with a fraudulent date on it.
Had I at that point just stuck a check in the envelope provided I would have given them more money for a membership that was NO where's near expiration.
Then try getting that money back, you won't ever see it. They must make millions of extra money on this little mail fraud scam. :(
That and they will send you a personal notice 'in your name' of the discounted rate for renewal.......just try and get it, you will NOT.
When you go to renew with the special code for the discount that was mailed to you 'in your name', they tell you it is only available to new members.
Yup, that is how they show their appreciation for your business, mail fraud. :R
