I still need some additional campers for our Coffeyville, KS location.

In Coffeyville you will get a PAID campsite as well as PAID utilities (except propane), $10.50 per hour base pay, time & one half for all overtime, a completion bonus of $1 per hour if you work until released on Dec 23rd if not earlier, (so it's like earning $11.50 per hour) and you get the Amazon employee discount while you are working for us.

The people in Coffeyville are friendly, you'll be there for the Dalton Days Rodeo, and we have some fun events planned for campers while you are with us.

I need to hear from you NOW! TO APPLY: www.amazon.com/camperforce

Since you were at the Big Chief do you know if there was a pet sitter there? I know things change but I am looking for one.

Hi #1Flyboy! Yes, we do require a high school diploma, a GED, and I know of a couple of instances where schooling taken in the military (if a diploma was not awarded beforehand) is also acceptable.

That said, if there is only one of you who qualifies, we will still pay for the campsite & other benefits as long as there is one person per campsite that is working for us. Please let me know if I can give you any additional information - you can reach me directly at petrusch@amazon.com

I worked at the Coffeyville location last season and will be going back this October.

As Jim & Betty said, Big Chief is right across the road and within walking distance (that's where I stayed last season and where I'll be again) - although once it starts getting colder later in the season it won't exactly be a pleasant walk.

Yes, you do need to pay state income tax. When you get your forms in January, you can file in Kansas as a non-resident and get some back (for me it was $83 dollars), but you do still need to pay some. Considering the rate of pay and the fact that Amazon pays for site + utilities, it's still a great deal money-wise. I've done a pretty extensive review about Amazon, it can be found in the site in my link.

As to the Kansas state income tax being withheld...what I don't understand is...why can't an individual sign a document that he/she is not a resident and not have the state income tax held out? Why is it necessary for an individual to have to invest his/her time and money in getting back money that is rightfully his/hers? My take is, that I suppose the state is hoping that an individual will not take the time to file and the state keeps the money!

I'll play devil's advocate here. From the state's point of view, it would be much easier to have an employer withhold taxes and refund them later than try to track down thousands of individual taxpayers at a later date to determine if they indeed owe taxes.

I'm not sure about Kansas but I know Kentucky DOR had a proviso that if you expected your annual gross income (from all sources) to be less than a certain amount, then you could file a form through your employer to be exempt from state tax withholding.

Thanks Texasclarks, couldn't have said it better myself! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'll have to check for you but there may still be room in the campground that is right across the street from the facility.

I cannot speak to the campground specifically as I have only driven by it in Coffeyville, KS on my way to Oklahoma.

I do know that KS has a state income tax, but if you are a non-resident you can file a non-resident return and likely get a state tax return (contact your CPA - my advise is not the law). I know the town is not huge, but it has all the necessities. My family and I have stopped their for lunch/dinner many a time enroute from KC area to Tulsa, OK.
