Counter Space!! Where is it?? 15 1/4"??

Is it just me? Or are there others that have next to sweet nothing for counter real estate?

My TT is 27 feet long. You'd think they could give me a little more than just room to butter a slice of bread!

I have next to .... struggling for a polite term here....
Next to nothing for counter space.

From my stove to my sink is 15 1/4 inches. Thats it!

I mean sure I can use the fold down thing on my stove top, but not when I'm cooking. Or my table top, but I don't want to use that for food preparation either. My laptop sits there and the current paperwork, leaving room for a dinner plate and a cold one!

And I don't have one of those counter top things that fits in the sink hole either

Yup! 15 1/4" of countertop space, thats it!

Is it just me? Or do you guys have 4/5ths of nothing there too?

Oh, and there is a 2 inch strip to the left of my stove. What do I do with that besides wipe it when I wash dishes?

One more vote for the rear kitchen. We have a 27' RK and selected it specifically for the access with the slide in. The fridge, stove, micro, sink, and half the back full-width counter are accessible with the slide in. As noted before, you have to give up something for the counter space. We have a small sofa and a single chair, a fair trade for our needs.

NYCgrrl - it really works well since it sits several inches off the bottom of the sink. And it holds a lot of veggies, etc. And the sides are expandable, so you can turn it either direction in the sink. Costco had a 2-pack of them (have one in kitchen at home also).

Thanks for the heads up on where to buy!
The more I think on it the better I like your solution. The shape fits the sink better; it takes up less space when storing and I can still use it to dry salad greens and strain pastas. Anything that multitasks AND saves counter space gets an enthusiastic nod from me:B

I particularly like your sink strainer, toedtoes. I was thinking of using an already owned collapsible silicone colander or maybe a salad spinner but your version gives me another choice.

Wow, you have THAT much counter space. We add a folding table between the counter and couch.

The mobile shumacher charge station powers the Sirius, movie projector/portable dvd and Poop Cannon.

I did not need to run dedicated 12 volt lines or other mods.

Thank you, but for some reason, I can't see any of the attached photos.... : (

Check your own settings here. You may have pics turned off.
I can see them no problem.

Thank you. It was checked. I did nothing different, but today, I can see the images. Well, actually, I can see the latest few, but not on the previous pages.

And I don't have one of 'those counter top things' that fits in the sink hole either

Why don't you just go out and buy 2 of 'those sink covers'? :?

Those 2 sink covers ARE what allows you to have more counter space for prep and the wood ones double as a cutting board. They are pre-cut to fit RV sinks. :W

Camco makes them with and without the holes, plastic or wood. Find at ANY camping store or on line.

Here is one made of wood.

Why not get a cutting board made of non-flexible material that spans the sink, and use that as extra counter space; it wouldn't have to fit as an insert for the sink opening.
