I received replacement decals for my signature rv the other day and I have started to obtain estimates for removal an replacement. I have received 1 estimate for 1,300.00 that includes the company coming to my house to do the job. I thought this was a little high, what do you think? The company stated that I could cut the price in half if I removed the existing graphics myself. Anyone on this forum have experience in removing old graphics and the best way to accomplish it? Many years ago while camped out at Outdoor Resorts in Palm Springs I removed all of my brand decals .
Warm days and hairdryer method .
There are many RV shows in that area in the winter .
One of the decal places " RV-Graphics " had a display at one of the RV shows .
For a few hundred bucks I got ' fancy motorhome " swoosh decals installed .
I also got the matching swoosh for my gmc tow vehicle .
This was popular at the time .
None of these aftermarket decals has shown any deterioration of any kind .
The aftermarket decals are higher quality and cheaper price than the factory brand decals .
$ 1200 would easily be an installed price for your TV and your TT .

Remove with heat and plastic spatula, mask the area and paint them.

Ours came with great looking decals and I can't imagine it without them. Been fortunate that ours still look great but then our MH is parked inside when not in use.

2. Leave a blank slate, which I love. We don't have decals on our house. Nor do I want them on my rig. Or, you can have the swoops and swirls painted on. Someone on here posted pics of his rig before and after decals. Blank looked great to me.

1300 is cheap. I've removed all my decals in the past year. Not hard to do, but tedious. Used a 3M wheel, a heat gun, and Goof-Off. Took about 30 hours. Tried to replace front decals. Harder to do than it looks. Paid the factory to do it. Was more than 1300 including decals and labor. As I said, 1300 is cheap for complete job.

I just watched a video on doing this and they used an eraser with a hand drill and a plastic razor type blade. not a metal razor but plastic so you don't screw up the surface. then used glue remover to clean the surface. it's on You tube, just look it up.

I removed and replaced the large front decal and two medium size ones (one on each side). The job was not that hard with a hair drier and a 1 1/2" putty knife ( After getting the peeling started with the putty knife I peeled mainly with my fingers). I tried a heat gun early on and it didn't do as well as the hair drier. The front one took about 3 hours and was approx. 30" x 6'-0". It was the last one and I was more experienced by the time I got to it. The ones on the side were 12" x 5'-0" and took about 4 hours each. After removal I cleaned the areas with Goo Gone and then cleaned it again twice with 91% rubbing alcohol as the decal instructions say not to use citric cleaners as the final cleaner. Applying the new ones was not hard at all it just requires two people and watch a couple of You Tube how to's. By the way mine was on a Keystone Outback, I see yours is a Keystone also.

Harbor freight has heat guns for cheap just be careful pulling them that you dont burn the surface. They come off easy if not to old but sometimes they are a pain try a small area before you commit. good luck
