I usually shower before or after the sun is up and was bummed that the shower had very little light in it unless the sun was out. I had a clear shot to a nearby light (that was too dim) for power. I added that 12v led ribbon light between the opaque panels of the dome to give me good light in the shower at night. Wife loves it.
I probably wouldn't hit my head without it but I like the extra clearance it gives.
