I narrowed it to the Step Above and Torklift Glowstep and decided on the Torklift. One concern I had while deciding was how far out the MorRyde needs to deploy. I store ours in an area with limited space next to it due to the rig stored there. With the Torklift I’ve had a few times I could not deploy them fully, but still far enough to safely get in. With the MorRyde I would have not been able to. Recently when I was taking the trailer back to storage someone with the MorRyde had pulled their rig out a bit just to deploy the steps. I would give some thought to if you ever got to a spot you couldn’t get the steps out how you would handle it.
I installed to Torklift steps on our 5th wheel. Well actually my son in law did. Took less than an hour and we love them! The ability to deploy in tight space, they don't get stored inside your rig, they are so much more stable and the fact the riser height is the same are all pluses!
I am disabled and have difficulty going up and down stairs. These steps are so much better for me than the factory steps. I have balance issues and by adjusting the height of the riser it is so stable. We have a 14 year old cocker spaniel that had to be lifted in and out of the RV. With the Torklift steps he is able to get in and out with no problem.
These steps really do make a difference!
