Fiberglass Shower to tub (add a lip)
We are looking at units with stand up showers. It would be nice to have a tub for our daughter to take baths as she is young.
My question is this though:
The showers are all one piece fiberglass. IS there a somewhat easy way to add a water tight lip to the front of that?
It would be nice to remove the glass enclosure, add the lip so it was more like a tub and just use a curved shower pole to keep the shower water in when we shower.
Obviously there are other options of varying difficulty.
I'm aware that I could attempt to rip out the existing stuff and put something else in there. This would be a huge PIA as there isn't a ton of room to get the new tub in there (even a small one) while the walls and everything are up. Those hallways and doors are pretty tight. Might be possible but a PIA.
We know there are inflatable tubs. We could use a larger file bin type plastic box. All options we've thought of and certainly easier.
Just wondering if there is a somewhat easy way to add a lip to that fiberglass structure without it looking like a total mess or worse leaking.
Figuring not, just wanted to see if anyone had another idea.
