Just a bit of pot stirring here. Why do people either not read a post or fail to comprehend the thrust of the post if they do read it?
I am referring specifically to the common campground complaint post of yesterday. The OP asked for common complaints that management had control over. To me this means facility, infrastructure, or policy problems.
A few poster did address the OP's question, while the majority jumped in with the usual inane litany of people problems which equates to if you are not exactly like me you are an inconsiderate boob.

Well are we now going to be graded on reading and comprehension skills on a forum? I believe I know the post you are talking about and yes, your interpretation means complaint the management had control over like facilities that are clean and working restrooms, Infrastructure like working electrical post, dealing with the neighbors dog/s or management dealing with a complaint or kids, noise ect. Basically management has control over all complaints either a suggestion that something could be improved upon or enforced or just a problem brought to the managements attention. So I fail to see how I failed yesterdays exam when its all interpretation of the post. Maybe we should start stating at the end of a post if there is going to be a test the next day!

You can't cure stupid. I also wonder just what is going on upstairs when I read some posts. Adult beverages and posting don't always mix.

I think that you should pick up your dog's poop and put it in a baggie to dispose of it in the trash.

Boy no kidding here!
Some threads I read and re-read and just can't grasp the intent.

I have to say I'm guilty of skimming or making assumptions with a number of OP's unless they are easily read and understood.

One thing that drives me nutz is threads started in incorrect sections.
I report those constantly.

Sometimes the opener itself is so obscure as to be practically indecipherable as to its intent/point.

I've read your threadstarter very carefully three times, and I still don't "comprehend the thrust of it". The only question you ask is of course unanswerable. Why people do what they do isn't explicable to/by ANYONE else most of the time....why on earth ask such a question?

So does that mean that if others did not interpret it the same as you did that all the others are wrong?

Forum platforms are just that opinions and difference of opinions of what others think about the same subject.

It's almost gotten to the point now on this forum that you can't even make a joke anymore, or god forbid, disagree with an OP, point out obvious discrepancies in a tall tale or some new forum member gets his panties in a bunch and is opening new threads complaining about it.

IMHO I think everyone needs to lighten up, this isn't a national presidential debate with a list of rules to abide by, it's an RV forum.

people problems are usually the camper NOT following the rules of the cg. and management NOT doing anything about it. kids going 'very wild' is something a manager should address. 'underage' and out of control golf cart drivers should be addressed. barking dogs should be addressed and more.

management needs to take control. I actually like the cgs where no complaint is needed. when something is getting out of hand, etc. the management/employees step in right then and there and fix it.

poeple create problems and those are the problems that need to be addressed by management.

I thought the thread was good

After a while you get used to it. I feel it's important to read the question, but many simply don't bother.

And, someone is sure to come along and say to you (about this thread) "Why do you care what others do?" And on and on it goes.

...snip... the usual inane litany of people problems

I think the, "usual insane litany," makes it a lot more interesting.

Who knows why people do what they do? Sometimes (more than sometimes) others don't do what I want them to do, or what I think they should do. I can deal with that and more on.
