There's lots of options that have been around for a long time.
The big problem however is that an air-cooled engine must by virtue of it's operation be open to the air, add to that the exhaust and that will inevitably result in noise.
In most cases though the soundproofing of the coach is enough to more than cover it up.
In my case(s) my C has a Onan 4KY which lives directly beneath the bed, yes its loud, but I never need it while I'm sleeping so I don't care. My A has an Onan 5500 which is so silent I need to stop and concentrate to tell if it's running daytime with the usual ambient noise and can easily sleep through if I need it running for the A/C or furnace.
