Good Sam RV Parking Rights Notification for Zip Code: 44272

Attention Good Sam Club Members in Rootstown, OH Zip Code 44272

Rootstown,Ohio has decided to start enforcing a RV and boat parking law they say has been on the books since 1999.

Violations have been issued to several RV owners. The Zoning council is discussing it for changes. We need your help attending meetings to voice our opposition to some changes being proposed.

Contact Steve: 330-235-3843 or roadratt@myway.com

The Good Sam Club’s Parking Rights Advisory Council is a small group of Good Sam Club member volunteers who assist fellow RVers affected by discriminatory legislation restricting RV parking.
  • I don't know what their restrictions are but, in our community we cannot park boats, or RVs in front of our houses for more than 72 hrs. They must also be parked on a paved surface. Our lots are 100' wide and our driveways are 50' long. I am perfectly fine with that as some people would scatter their junk all over the front yard and leave it to sink into the ground..

  • This, my friends, is why I live in the country....outside city limits
  • I didn't know that. Rootstown is only about 15 miles from us and several members of our Good Sam chapter live there.

Rootstown is a rural/suburban area. The people we know in the area all have an acre or more of land.

    Yepper...
    NO "town council"...
    NO HOA...
The few CCRs that exist are not enforced, because there is nobody to enforce them...
I set up a target range in my back yard, and nobody has complained...
    yet.
I can install any ham antenna system I want, the only restriction is my budget...
It is SO very nice living in the country!

Except when I have to plow my 800' driveway. No wonder I snowbird. :)
  • I did much research on this topic a few years ago when fighting my city in Michigan. The Ohio Supreme Court ruled some years ago that rv owners have the right to park on their driveways and local authorities cannot prevent that. Do some research & fight & you will win.
