Remote temperature notification

We travel in our travel trailer with our pet bird.During the day,we leave the air cond.on .Last summer we had some fears. Many campgrounds have NO TREES,resulting in very hi temp.inside the unit should the a/c go off for whatever reason.I was wondering if anyone has info.about some device that I can receive a signal to my cellphone,or that I can call?.Obviously there arent any landlines at campsites, many devices I read about work with landlines.I'm hoping in this wireless world something would be avail.Appreciate any info.you have ,thanks Mike
  • They taking preorders for a new model of the Pet Tracker that includes a temperature sensor.

    Oops. It's a bird!
  • I use this

    motorola focus 66

it has both video and temperature-its tied to a mobile hotspot in my van.

i use it to monitor the cats thru hubbleconnected which comes free with it.

you might look at the Icelsius temperature device.

both devices will require a mobile hotspot(or phone used as one)

the problem with just strict temperature texter is you are never sure. by looking at the cats every 1/2 hour or so for a minute or so we are reassured
  • Hi,

There should be a cell phone based system that can call you in event of emergency.

Here is my first thought. IT is a car alarm with 2 way paging that I recently bought. My alarm will be installed to disable the engine and works with a couple of normally open contacts, that when closed will set off the alarm and send a message to my remote receiver. This can be up to 2 miles away! I figured what good is a alarm system when you are 1,000 feet away in a mall?

So with this alarm, you could have a thermostat that will close at say 80F and trigger a 'alarm'. Do not connect the bell part of it, it will just trigger a alert and send a message to the receiver - if it is within range.

    Amazon.com Astra 777 alarm

It would work well if you go to the swimming pool, but not for sightseeing 10 miles away. . .
