Homeless - safe to store propane/gas in car while sleeping?

Propane is heavier than air so in a leak the propane will fill the lower cavity of your vehicle pushing the air out your cracked window depleting your oxygen. The propane in a cylinder is compressed so when it leaks will expand and take up a much larger area, not a good thing to keep in your car while sleeping.
