Honda Handi cart for EU2000i

I was wondering if anyone has one or two of the Honda handi carts that they make for the EU2000I's. When we use the generators at the beach campground which we are going to be at a total of six weeks this year I end up moving the gens about 30 feet from the site then back again at night,on grass not sand, and most of the summer I end up running both 2000I’s for Ac, I was thinking these carts would be nice to move them around and I was just looking for any info good or bad from anyone who may be using the carts for moving the generators around with , they are pricy but look like a good fit for the generators and well made .
Thanks
Mike
  • Thanks for the follow up. I've been wondering about the Handi Cart. A little pricey and a somewhat dedicated piece of equipment, but at least they put some thought into it.
  • Well I ended up buying two of these carts from wisesales and they seem great , very light and fold down to store, easy to open up and the generators fit just right and make it easy to move around , I would recommend these carts to anyone that needs to move the generators around as if do , I don’t move them to far but just enough to make a sore back hurt after moving the two gens two times every day for three week periods at the beach , I do have long cables with locks so they are not just sitting out there for the taking but locks and chains only keep honest people honest thanks for the replies

Don't know if I would have guts enough to carry my generator away from the camp sites or not. It may just keep running off on me hehe... My generator sits in the tail gate corner of my truck and I run long extensions cords from it to anywhere we need it to run.

  • I just bungeed mine on an old luggage cart I had laying around. A little flimsy, but it has worked fine for 3 years over rough ground.
  • I second the idea of a wagon, but coupled with LowPro's LockDown bracket for each generator. This will not just keep the generator from moving around or falling off, but it will also provide security. Chain the wagon down, the generators will stay with it (won't stop a dedicated tweaker with power tools, but it will function as a deterrent.)
  • I would think a used wagon will work. You can probably find one on Craigslist or a yard sale, perhaps. Use bungy cords when moving gen.
