I tried to pry with a prying tool and it feel solidly in place. Tried to twist and it didn't turn either. Need to replace this ceiling LED light. Thanks.

Glad you got it off and that's standard practice for 12 volt lights.
    Check your marker/clearance lights
or (Depending on the model year) The tail lights on a car or Trailer or Semi Truck.

  • Pull straight down on both sides of the trim ring.

That looks like a standard can light. Have you tried pulling the decorative rim straight down using both hands?

I tried with a prying tool to pull down and it budged a little but otherwise didn't come loose. I didn't want to break something.

I don't have that type, but have you tried to twist that outer ring, maybe it screws off/on, try counter clockwise.
