Glad you got it off and that's standard practice for 12 volt lights.

I tried with a prying tool to pull down and it budged a little but otherwise didn't come loose. I didn't want to break something. - bukhrnExplorer IIIOK, guess i should have read the entire post, i see you have tried twisting it.
- bukhrnExplorer IIII don't have that type, but have you tried to twist that outer ring, maybe it screws off/on, try counter clockwise.
