How far do you go in a day?

you can figure, that counting stopping to eat, fuel, and use the restroom, for you and the dogs. 10 hours for every 500 miles. You can do it faster. But that would be with out stopping to eat, or just stretch your legs.

I do 10 hours alone regularly towing the TT. It is not a problem. Usually pack a lunch so do not have to stop.

Depends on time constraints for us, if we have limited time we travel further and later into the day. When we have extra time we go about 4-5 hours, but that can vary if there are some sightseeing spots along the way. When traveling to an unknown area we find RvParkReviews.com to be a worthy resource along with Google maps for satellite views of the parks we are interested in.

Part of this answer depends on your towing rig. If you have a good towing match, the strain on the body is a whole lot less at the end of the day.

A 10 hour with potty break tow day we do often when we start our long trips. We are leaving direct from home, no breaking down of camp and no dump station, just hop in and go. We leave at first light (~ 06:00) and arrive later afternoon. However for us, that is the last 10 hour tow day of the entire trip. We are more into 5 to 6 hour tows then. In our case we are on R & R and we do not need to push it nor want to.

You hit a traffic mess and it adds time and stress on top of a 10 hr day. This one is going to come down to a judgement call on your end. Any chance of finding a stop over in the middle or 3/4 of the way as a bail out if needed?

We try to use 400 miles a day as a guide when towing. That works out to 50 mph for 8 hours. This allows for fuel and bathroom stops and a quick lunch. I find we can get in early enough to set up and have a leisurely dinner. If you have 10 hours to get there - that would be doable for us.

I don't particularly like to but we do 10-11 hour days occasionally if we have to due to schedule.

We do nine to ten hrs, 400 to 600 miles a day. Of course if we want to visit in between places then we just stop!

The furthest I've driven with the family in one day while towing is 782 miles. I'm an experienced road warrior - day job is outside sales - so I'm quite comfortable and happy behind the wheel. DW and kids are also seasoned roadies, so they're used to it.

Driving alone? This past July I dragged the TT from Indianapolis to Albuquerque in 2 days (getting a full night's sleep both days). That was a little over 1400 miles. I was surprised how relaxing it was. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but two days of solitude behind the wheel was very enjoyable.

Once upon a time I would drive 10 hour stretches. However I've wised up and no longer travel that long if I can avoid it. Which I do!
Can you start out the night before and go 3 hours or so. Overnight somewhere and start fresh in the A.M.

You know your limits, do what is comfortable for you. Once upon a time I did 16 hours, today 10 and I'm whipped.
