Not sure if this vid has been posted here before.
Never would have thought an RV could be built this quick.
6 hrs out the door.
The video is about 5 years old, so maybe theyve streamlined the build process even more.:B
From the looks of how these people are moving theres no wonder why there are so many issues.
Looks like a lot of Amish workers too.

Actually, he's talking about the B-24 Liberator heavy bomber. B-17 was much sleeker looking in design, but the B-24 had a longer range and a slightly larger bomb load.

I think you're talking about the B-17 in WWII.

The B-52 is a jet bomber from the mid-fifties, and still in use today.
So, speed of assembly is not the important factor, it's the quality of workmanship.
The B-17 did very well in WWII.

Heard on NPR yesterday that Elkhart, IN where there's a lot of RV factories has about 2% unemployment rate. They were talking specifically about Lippert being unable to get enough employees to meet production needs. So much so that they were hiring high school students as interns. Might explain some of the problems folks have with Lippert products.

Geting paid piece work obviously,,if they would pay them by the hour you would see different speed and better quality no doubt. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also all wall and floor joints shouldve glue adhesive,,those staples and screws wont hold it together very long
Id never buy such pos

I wonder if the 6 hours include lunch and mandatory union breaks? :@
How long does it take to build a car or truck on an assembly line?

32 to 36 hours Ive heard when visiting Chryslers few years back..
But then you need to add labour for all the parts its made of..

Then you get the price shell game. In Europe, there is no negotiation on price. A $25,000 trailer is a $25,000 trailer. It isn't sold for $50,000 to some sucker at one place or $10,000 at another.

I would pay 10% more for a rig, if it came from the factory ready to go. No dealer prep, other than basic stuff like inflating tires and attaching a battery and propane cylinders.

It would be nice if the factory used Eternabond there, so all seams are sealed for good, and caulk is mainly used as a secondary seal, as opposed to the mainstay of water protection. Or even better... have the roof done with a seamless epoxy elastomer product like rvarmor, so there are no seams on the roof to leak.

Then technically, some RV's are never completed. ๐Ÿ™‚

Faster makes the selling price lower, that is what the consumer wants.
If you want slower, meticulous construction it will have to a custom unit.
Just think if you pay 2-3 K less you can afford to finish it at home.

Warranty and make good costs are factored into the sell price. They try to minimize, but not eliminate, problems. And then price the units to cover future costs hoping the warranty will expire before problems surface, or that the new owners will do the repairs themselves. Obviously it works for them.
