How to find a leak in potable water tank on motor home

We have a 2001 Bounder 37 ft diesel and the fresh water tank leaks off all water above 25% full. How would I diagnose where the leak is and how to make the repair? Additionally, my propane tank a...

You know that it leaks down to the 25% full level. That is part of the battle won. Next is where in the lower half of the tank is it leaking from. Fill it up & find the wet part. This is where it gets difficult. Access to the tank. Why did the leak develop? Chafe from something?

What is the tank made of & what can be used to fix it?
