But it would really suck if she just jumped into the drivers seat to assist with getting it off the road and really wasn't "driving" under the influence.

After 25 years on the dispatch desk at the local State Police post/dispatch center (Depending on which year) I have a lot of stories about DUI's. Far too many of them ended with a funeral. (or 2 or 3 or 4)

Could be she was pressed into duty with her fellow helping push. No power brakes without a motor running and probably not familiar enough with the emergency brake to hit it when things went sour.
