Did you mean:

I expect a 10 cent price increase in diesel

clicky

I've been reading a few of the reports on the effect of the 2020 sulfur reduction standards for gas and diesel.
I don't see the problem but global Environmentalists are really affecting our pockets.
Some say a price increase of 2 cent a gallon. I hope they are right or a bit high.

Having lived through several region wide blackouts in the northeast, I would rate it as unwise. Imagine a northeast blackout taking out the entire nation. The grid is split for a reason, not because some engineer forgot to install a cross-over.

100 years ago many people didn't want electricity in their homes. I still talk to people who won't use a computer for fear of being hacked.

Yes, you can focus on the negative if you wish, but you're missing all the good stuff.

Remember how our inter-state freeway system was built?

On another thread there was a discussion of driving from NE to FL with one overnight stop. I used to do that when RT 95 was being built and we had to drive local roads through parts of NC, now I do it in three nights even though they finished the highway.

Distribution is the problem, maybe today we can solve it in less time.

Very well said!

And waste our tax dollars and put our men and women in harms way patrolling those hostile seas for the oil trade?

Expect much more oil companies are now in charge and we long for the fuel prices of 2015.

The problem with that plan is that the power couldn't be distributed to the entire nation. The power grid isn't that interconnected, plus resistance loses would reduce the power getting to the northeast where it's needed. Apparently we use all the fuel oil in the world to heat our houses increasing the diesel prices in tropical Montana.

Even without the consideration of a single-site solar energy source, I kept on hearing since time immemorial that "urgent" issue of interconnecting our power grid to solve our country's uneven regional supply-and-demand situation. That sure will be the best time to do this projects together.

This forum is still the best entertainment one could ask for! It’s like watching Fox News and CNN argue in person!

Let's see what happened to the Neanderthals who are without imaginations and thought fire is too difficult, too dangerous and cannot be done.

And in comparison when JFK said we should land a man on the moon and the scientists got some of the inspirations from the imagination of the cartoonists and their drawings of space vehicles and moon buggies.

Now, let's further imagine if the world was ruled by Neanderthals, although some people think they still walk among us. Or if JFK appointed Mr Magoo as the head of his space program.

And a 10c increase? Idk how one would notice....price fluctuates close to $2 a gallon just within the areas I drive on a daily or weekly basis.

Don't worry, there might be excess and oversupply of it very soon.

California is taxing it out of reach and making it obsolete with high tech renewables.

Sounds as good as building a wall in Colorado.

The way things are going, there's going to be a lot of moving in the next 100 years.

And what percentage of the Christian Refugees from the South have been driven of farms to the cities because it is getting to hot and dry in the areas they farmed? Then driven out of cities by gangs?

Yes here it’s a choice of bottled propane or oil, no piped in natural gas. It’s why we like our new Fujitsu Halcyon Hybrid Inverter producing heat from air down to -5.

10 cent price increase? Honestly where we pay $4.09/gal who would notice.
