- DianneOKExplorerDtslinger....We would have had to have a CA dl and insurance.....
- Gravois_Trader1ExplorerThanks yal. Guess I'll take the job and drive a Mule.
- saltbayouExplorerI hosted in one and could not drive vehicles because of insurance issues but could drive a mule and tractor. Didn't make any sense to me.
- DtslingerExplorerDianne,
They did not accept your drivers license. What would you have had to do?? - DianneOKExplorerWe hosted for years in CA state parks on a SD license and insurance. We stopped when the state told us our licenses and insurance were no longer any good .....grrrrrrr.
Make sure Texas has not followed CA' s lead......
If I NEVER return to CA, it will be too soon..... - hockerExplorerWe worked in a TX state park last winter...had to get a standard form from our car insurance with a specific block checked to show we were covered in order to drive a park vehicle. Only drove it in the park, speed limit 20 mph, short distances, no big deal. It beat driving my own vehicle and sometimes the park mules weren't available or practical.
- MTPockets1ExplorerWe hosted inTwo different Texas State Parks. In order to operate a licensed vehicle, It had to be covered by my personal insurance: I declined to drive. But, that did not include the diesel mule for camp host, so we were just fine operating the mule.

- Gravois_Trader1ExplorerNew to this. Will try your suggestion.
- HappyKayakersExplorerMaybe you should ask a moderator to move your post to the workamping forum instead of making multiple posts asking the same question.
