I'm sitting here at my office along I-69 in Fishers, Indiana kind of gazing out my window (work is light right now). I-69 runs from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Indianapolis and is one of those major roads for RV transports.Been kind of watching the last 15 minutes or so and notice another RV heading South, about one every minute. I'm too far away to see what brands they are, but mostly travel trailers and 5er's are on the move.I've never seen this much RV activity in December before, especially this close to Christmas. I heard and read that RV manufacturing is skyrocketing right now in Northern Indiana. Based on the number of RV's passing (just in the last few minutes), I believe it! Just an observation!

I can agree, this summer coming back to Shipshewana, IN from Washington state along I-80 we saw many transporters hauling TT an 5th wheels along with Motor Coaches ... The closer we got the more we saw headed west, one after another, big, small an in-between ...Safe travels

When we traveled up to Michigan in October I noticed many RV transports going south, too!

Our last 2 RV trips, we found campgrounds and highways to be very busy.

I-69 runs all the way north to Lansing, MI, then hangs a right and runs on to the Blue Water Bridge and Canada, where it changes names of course.

But. Regarding your observation.

I found when I moved from a sticks and bricks to an RV (Made in Elkhart, IN) that my cost of living went down ... quite a bit in fact. And as many are being squeezed harder and harder financially.. Well Moving to full time RV makes sense.

See dozens a day going west on I-94 where I live too. Seems like more than past years. I’m retired now so I don’t get paid to watch.

Interesting... I travel US 31 a lot, which also leads to Indianapolis. You'll notice similar numbers of RVs traveling that route.

I'm from that area and saw a lot of them too on the road during the winter months. AND During snowstorms sometimes being pulled right behind the salt trucks!

Yup and my thought were not about RV sales. My observance was more about all those RV's running down the road in snow and in knee deep salted roads and the under carriage never power washed off when they reach their destination. And sitting with all that salt for months in some dealership lot.

Note to anyone:

Plan on ordering your RV so that it arrives BEFORE the snow flies and BEFORE the roads are covered with salt. If you want a salt free under carriage new RV.

And if you are buying off the dealers lot? Crawl underneath you will be mildly surprised how many of them are coated in white dried on salt. Been there done that saw it! :W

Yep on the way down to Texas last month for the winter, bet I was passed by no less than 10 transports probably doing 75 compared to my 63. I specifically remember one sitting along the road with a blown tire.
