Kudo's to Lippert Components

I've had my Grand Design 5th wheel for just over 13 months (1.5 months out of warranty).

The Schwintek slide controller failed on the bedroom slide. I called Grand Design. They told me to start with Lippert and if unsuccessful, call them back.

I called Lippert tech support. They were extremely helpful. Had me do some other troubleshooting that all confirmed it was the controller that went bad.

Today they called me back and said they were sending me a new controller free of charge.

Nice to see them stand behind their product. Melvin (my technician) said they give him the leeway to do what's right, which is what he's doing.

Kudo's to Lippert and Melvin.

  • Lippert also stepped up when my axles bent and wore tires. They shipped 2 heavier axles,heavier springs and bigger ubolts along with a wet bolt kit and paid to have a private dealership install . Also 4 new tires.
  • Be careful now. You will upset a lot of people here if you post something good about Lippert.:B
  • Lippert stepped up on replacing springs on our last unit and even sent a tech to the house to do the repair.
  • My Outback Is ten years old but the techs were great helping me fix my slide problem!
