Memorial Day
Memorial Day - a day to go shopping and have cook-outs. I don't think of it that way.
I think of my little brother who served in the Army in the early '60's and had cancer come back and eventually kill him.
I think of my son who had the courage to step up, seving 20 years in the US Navy.
I think of the people I have served with who just wanted to do the right thing for their country, and some of whom paid the supreme sacrifice.
I think of these every day.
I read that only about 3 percent of the country is doing the fighting and dying, leaving about 97 percent of the American populace basically sitting on their asses gathering profits.
My revulsion towards that 97 percent of those of ass sitters is overwhelming and complete.
