Many, many years ago we were staying at a campground on Hilton Head Island. I was there for meetings and a reception. My DH also attended the reception so we left our 2 dogs and a cat in the mh for us to attend the reception.When we returned to the mh there was a note on the door. It didn't mention that the dogs barked, which we were sure they would not, but it told us obviously our cat was afraid of our dogs since she was on the dashboard, which indicated to this person she was trying to "get away" from the dogs!! This person mention he/she had seen us walking our 2 dogs.Although we did have the curtains pulled on the front windows, Sassy, our cat, would position herself where she could see outside and be in the sun of the windows.We had to laugh! Anyone that knows cats knows they love the sun and where she was was allowing sun to be on her body. And if this person knew our Sassy he/she would have known she ruled the house and the dogs!!

A fine example of a person "assuming" what is not true. We all do it.

Sounds more like the CG busy body trying to get into everyone's business.

We often see cats and/or little dogs sunning on the dash of motorhomes. They always look content to me. Our dog sits on the bench looking out the window. Wonder what this person would think about what is going on in her mind.

When we leave the MH, #1 pom, who is (no kidding) 17, flops down on the floor and sleeps, which is what he does about 22 hours a day whenever he's not eating. #3, who is 3, hops on the bed, makes a nest, and sacks out. #2, our little girl rescue, who is 10, sits at the window of the cab and stares in the direction in which we disappeared, until we come back. We have come back and found her sitting there with eyes wide open but sound asleep, and had to knock on the window to get her attention.

Ok, time for a little humor for the dog thread!!

Love this one. I have some friends that have a declawed cat. It still kills all the squirrels and other rodents out of the trees in the yard. Claws or no. They don't even have to feed it much in the summer.

I once had a 10year old Blue Russian that had been de-clawed(front paws) before I adopted her. One day while sunning on the the front deck rail, a German Shepard came down the street and into my drive,right up beside the deck. He never saw the cat.
My cat jumped off the rail, swung her back legs around, and locked on to the dogs snout. She rode that dog back down the street where he came from and about 5 minutes later walked back home like she owned the neighborhood.

I have a plump older girl who loves sleeping in the sunbeam on the dash. One day, I heard voices in front of my RV so I looked out. There were two teenage girls looking at Sasha and it was obvious they thought she was a stuffed animal. They jumped about a foot in the air when she lifted her head to see who was there to pay tribute.

Ha! My dog sits up front whenever possible. Sometimes I end up in back while driving even!

We have a schipperke and an indoor cat at home. The dog drags her around by the neck. I want to get this on video but every time she's had enough by the time I get set up!

We raised 2 pugs with an older cat, Owen. When they were frisky, Owen would jump on the coffee table and swat at them. This is now how the pugs will play fight. Was not uncommon to see the 3 of them snuggled up for a nap. Owen passed last December, and every once in awhile one or the other pug will scout the house looking to play, and not finding Owen, will give us a puzzling look.

Back when I had horses, a sweet lady knocked on my front door and almost tearfully told me I had a "deathly-sick horse laying in the pasture". At first believing her, I looked out the door; then smiled and whistled.... my gelding, who was simply sacked out in the warm sunshine, raised his head and looked at me like "whut?"... I then explained to the nice lady that horses DO sleep lying down... :-)

I wonder what they would have thought of our Katrina licking the condensation off our windshield?! Until we started using a dehumidifier this was a daily occurrence. Of course, our kitties have fresh water! But the windshield water must taste better!
