- Mel_B_ExplorerI called this Co. yesterday and told the service tech that I wanted a 3400 watt dual fuel with the remote start button. He said if I bought the 3400 with the remote start he would add a 3 fuel option for $145 for the parts no charge for labor. So you can get the 3400 inverter with remote start, and run it on GAS, PROPANE OR NATURAL GAS. seems like a nice option. I didn't pull the plug yet but I think I will soon.

Probably because of CARB restrictions.
I never found out why; I sent the seller a message and never heard back. Not sure if Champion makes a CARB (Calif Air Resources Board) and non-CARB genny, but others might know.
Like I mentioned, best price we found on the 3400 with Electric Start was $999 with free shipping and no sales tax.
Who did you try and buy from? There is a dealer in Glendora, I bought a reconditioned 2000 from them and the owner delivered it to me and I live just on the west side of Pasadena.
I will look up the phone # and the website if you would like me to. PM me. Check Here! - D_E_BishopExploreroops
- MrWizardModeratori think all champion generators are now CARB compliant
and therefore can be sold and shipped to any state
its possible ? that there are some 'new old stock' out there being sold
or more likely the seller did not want to pay shipping TO and collect sales tax for Calif - Ron3rdExplorer III

I've owned three of them. Outstanding inrush capability, good fuel economy, reliable, excellent warranty support, and extremely competitive pricing.
As for noise level, have to read the small print. Champion rates the 75531i at 58 db with a 25 percent load (700 watts). Champion doesn't advertise the 75531i's noise rating under full load (2800 watts) for good reason---it gets substantially louder--my guess, 65-67 db. Honda rates the EU3000iS at 49 db under a 25 percent load (700 watts) and 58 db under full load (2800 watts). For those who have had the opportunity to listen to these two generators running side-by-side at the same time, both under a full load of 2800 watts, the Champion simply drowns out the Honda.
Again, I'm a big fan of the Champion 75531i, but it does have its limitations. - RygarExplorerJust bought 2 2000W Champions to run in parallel. I will say they are certainly very quiet and will run my 15000btu a/c.

Probably because of CARB restrictions. - Ron3rdExplorer IIIThe Chamption 3400 inverter genny is outstanding and quiet too. My daughter just bought one to run the 15K air on her 5er. Those that are saying they are far too loud must be thinking of the open frame generators for construction sites that Champion also makes. Inverter gennys are a complete different animal.
BTW, the best price we found on the 3400 with Electric Start was $999 with free shipping and no sales tax. This was off a website my daughter found. All the sellers on Amazon would not ship to my state for some reason. - DaveevansExplorerHey epbigfoot,
I have found Champion Power Equipment to be really durable and a great, less expensive alternative to the traditional Honda's. I don't have personal experience with the 3400 but I do have experience with the 3100w and would definitely recommend it if you can do with a few less watts. It has a wireless startup option which is nice but is more of a luxury than a necessity. If you're looking for more info I found a great review on the web;
Champion 75537i Inverter Generator Review
It covers pretty much everything you need to know about the unit and there are some other units reviewed on the site as well if you want to compare.
Hope this helps!
All the best,
Dave
