Regardless of how it was loaded, that MORON who deserved to crash was towing way too fast!!
I mean WAY too fast. The way he passed that 379 that was doing at least 65, he had to be at 75-80.
Darwin at work. You guys can speculate all day about tire blowouts, weight distribution, away controls... none of that matters, tow a trailer that big that fast and you're gonna end up educated like that idiot.

That was trailer induced sway. The bow wake from the truck was all it took to get it started. Why I tell my Mrs she can load anything into the trailer she wants as long as it's in front of the axles.

There's no doubt that going slower is, generally speaking, going to be a bit safer. But a lot of accidents are caused by the difference in relative speed, not necessarily the speed itself.

From what the TT guys say, a properly set up trailer will pull very well. This guy had trailer issues compounded by his stupidity. He could have been pulling at 15 mph and he would have figured out a way to crash.

Well there is a fair amount of posts claiming TT sway issues passing a big rig.

And of course there is the CA 55 limit on ALL vehicles towing that people constantly complain about. Often saying it causes more trouble than it helps. I don't know but going slower in general seems safer to me.

I don't think he was going all that fast, someone posted that his speedometer was reading 65 mph. That isn't too fast, that trailer towing idiot was driving stupidly.

Could be. Looks like the drifting too close may have been the bow wave off the semi trailer. Pushed the trailer out and the excursion into the truck. Never recovered.

It looks like (at :51) he drifted too close to the truck, then corrected too quickly, the trailer took over and it just got worse.
