I have a 2004 Winnebago Sunrise, 32 foot Class A. I seem to have bad tire karma. Always had trouble with tire pressure on the rig. Last week had new tires put on, pressured up and re-installed the Pressure Pro sensors. The next day one of the tires had dropped from 85 psi to 69 psi. Same problem I have had many, many times before on different tires with the same Pressure Pro sensors. Swapped out the extender. Next day same problem. The only thing that is now common to all the tire pressure problems is the Pressure Pro sensor. Different tires, new extenders, valve stem checked for leaks. I have read all the great reviews on Pressure Pro systems on this site but am wondering has anyone had a problem with pressure pro sensors leaking air.Thanks in advance.

Questions - have you tried moving the sensor to another tire to see if the problem moves? Can you verify that the reported sensor pressure is accurate with a standard pressure gauge?Sometimes a little dab of lubricant on the valve stem - something like vasaline or dielectric grease - will help the sensor seat better. Sometimes blowing out the valve side of the sensor with compressed air will help.Failing that, contact Advantage Pressure Pro and give them your story. I've found them very responsive the few times I've had contact with them.Been using a Pressure Pro system since 2007, and never had that problem. And no - I don't sell them, just use them.al

Al, thanks for the quick response. I will try moving the sensor try the other tips. Great ideas. The pressure is accurate as I check everything with a standard gauge. It's just so frustrating to continuously having this slow air leak in one of the tires and no one seems to be able to fix it. Have tried Big-O, Camping World, Ted Wiens in Vegas, nothing. I have the Pressure Pro system installed on my F350 and Cedar Creek 2013 36 CKTS fifth wheel. I have noticed that on some of the tire valve stems with the pressure sensor installed have a very slow pressure leak. On these tire valve stems I use Teflon tape which is used for sealing pipe threads. This works well for the few tires that have the slow leak. I assume the slow leak is due to the tire valve stem thread tolerances.

Pressure Pro has a little rubber seal that sometimes gets "pinched" or torn...this will cause a slow leak. Contact Pressure Pro about having the seals/grommets replaced...

I have the Pressure Pro system also and it is 6 years old. There is a seal in the end of the sensor that screws onto the valve stem. This seal is removeable and can be replaced. I remove the sensors in the winter when I am not traveling to save the batteries. I found that removing and installing much can wear the seals. I replaced all of the seals last year and have not had any issues since. Call Pressure Pro and talk to them as I found them very helpful.Also, I question using the sensors with extenders as it seems this could cause issues with sealing the valve stems.

Agree with all about seals. Also do NOT screw on too tight. Will cause leaking.

I've never had a sensor leak, but did lose a piece of the inside of one when I removed it. I assume it was a gasket. Since I had a spare, I haven't bothered getting a new seal on it, but will be more careful when removing a sensor in the future.

My PressurePro system has been flawless over the six or so years I've had it. It has saved me several times, including this past Mother's Day when it signalled a tire losing pressure quickly while I was rolling on an Interstate. I was able to pull over to the side of the road before the tire got too low. Another save. Thanks, PressurePro!

BTY, I still have my original batteries. I expect a low-battery warning any day now. After six years or so, it's about time.

as noted in a post above I just sent all 12 of our Pressure Pro sensors back to the factory for the O-ring upgrade .... I looked it up and they charged me $1 per sensor ... I did have to pay $2.55 for shipping, they paid the return shipping .... the turn around was less than one week .... based on years of use, if I need a new system today, I'd go with Pressure Pro without hesitation

Also, there are other tire pressure monitor systems on the market that have sensors with user replaceable batteries and flow through sensors. When your Pressure Pro sensors need replacement they are about $35 apiece (I'm sure that they also would charge shipping).

Pressure Pro sold us 10 seals for $8.00...as for using another TPMS...Tried that. It seldom worked properly...went right back to using Pressure Pro...works properly ALL the time. Won't do that again!

I have had pressure pro sensors LEAK on me.. the symptoms are what you describe.

I have also had them pay for themselves, rather nicely, by saving a tire and the secondary damage caused when a tire fails at speed.

Wow! Thanks for the great response from everyone. With your input I examined the sensor on the tire that is losing air and it was obvious that the seal in the sensor had become defective and air was clearly coming out around the sensor. Hopefully that will put an end to my bad tire karma. Thanks again.

just had a similar problem with one of our Pressure Pro sensors .... called the factory and they had me send them back .... they have come up with an improved O-ring seal and upgraded ours .... there was a small charge .... they turned them around and got them back to us quickly
