The hose in the above link appears to be all you need to do. Way too easy compared to modifying other grills. If getting a long hose, I would suggest getting a 3/8" dia. hose rather than 1/4" so there's less pressure drop. Also, get a hose with the soft/flexible type outer jacket because they are much easier to handle and coil up.
Some grills, like the Coleman Roadtrip, have the regulator at the rear of the unit and you need to disassemble it and replace it with the right fittings. Had to drive all over town to 3 different shops to round up the pieces on ours...
