? "Best" Coffee Maker?

we have a mocamaster and it makes excellent coffee, but since my wifes pregnancy 3 years ago she doesn't drink it anymore. the mocamaster is too big for single cups, so I started to use a small 2 cup french press. Then I broke is and started hunting for the best option, hitting the internet and searching for best coffee maker I came across the aeropress. Best coffee I have ever made at home no doubt, even better than my mocamaster. It sure beats every cup of coffee I buy anywhere outside the house. I like strong, full bodied coffee. I use "Kicking Horse " brand coffee, "Kick Ass" flavor.

The aeropress is quite easy to deal with camping as well, press it through, and pop the coffee grounds "puck" into the fire or garbage. At home I use a permanent steel filter, but camping I use the paper ones. little rinse, or wipe with a paper towel and it's done. The convenience is nice, but the flavor is what makes it so worth it.

^^^^^^^^^Maybe you're just watching the wrong videos. YouTube has some real stoopid people on there. There are very few cups of coffee as good as from a French press. If you are happy with a Keurig-type coffee maker then a French press isn't for you. But it's worth a try if you really like coffee.

Put coffee in French press.
Pour in boiling water.
Wait.
Press down on the plunger.
Decant the coffee.

Very easy and fantastic coffee. I would have one but the cleanup is a pain. I have one at home though. Can't say anything about the Aeropress.

French press & esp Aeropress: after viewing several videos, no way! Looks to me users are more interested in playing with their coffee toy than making coffee.

We have also done this, in our tenting days, which is also referred to as Cowboy Coffee.

She will be curled right up tight against me having her own cuppa Joe!

Electric sometimes, but fav is a pot, bring water to a boil, throw lots of grounds in, let settle and drink (Navy coffee)plus never, never wash the coffee cup, it needs to build up a patina like a good pipe.

Don't get me wrong. I love my morning cup of coffee, but I would never compare it to how much LOVE I have for my wife.

This is us, too. There's no need to fire up the generator if you don't have electric hookups.

Also, just buttering the bread & brown it in a fry pan is luscious as toast.
