We spent 3 months in Miami Florida this past winter, arriving back home in Michigan in mid May. Since then we have found at least 2 large cockroaches in our camper. We managed to catch/kill the first and thought/hoped we were done. Now a month later, on a Michigan camping trip we’ve found another, which unfortunately got away and disappeared. We’ve explored all the ways to get them, DE, boric acid, etc. My question, is it likely that our freezing winter temperatures will kill them off, including any eggs? We don’t go back to Florida until early Feb, so that would leave a couple of months with freezing temps?

Since you were in Florida, you don't have roaches, you have "Palmetto Bugs". :) But whatever you choose to call them, boric acid will kill them. Pretty much guaranteed to wipe out any infestation.

If you can find them, try the Combat Roach Baits, large size. 8 to a package about $7.50 a box down here. Lasts about 3 months, less messy than Boric Acid.

Get a pair of Jack Russell terriers! Nothing can hide from them. If that is not something that would work for you, thy Home Defense. Works like a charm. Spray it in the back of every cabinet and say goodbye to insect life.

Because we already have the boric acid and confectioner sugar we’ll try that first. If it doesn’t, we’ll look for the Combat Roach baits. Thanks!!

Ha ha! Unfortunately the Jack Russel Terriers won’t work for our current lifestyle, not to mention our small space. DW is against any sprays, butt thanks for your thoughts.
